The Indo-American Center (IAC) is a non-profit, non-partisan think tank, dedicated to strengthening the strategic partnership emerging between India and the US. Through initiatives focused on expanding commerce and trade, augmenting a security alliance, and advancing educational and civil society initiatives, we believe these two nations can mutually benefit and contribute to the global economy.

Our independent organization’s engaged experts, scholars and partners through key platforms provide principled solutions to the current challenges that adversely affect the economy, trade and security. The organization’s recommendations advance policies that lead to higher levels of transparency, economic freedom and economic growth. The think tank focuses on transforming ideas into action through publishing scholarly and relevant research materials, hosting seminars, major conferences, strategic roundtables and organizing high-level briefings for legislators and members of the executive branches of government. IAC strategically reaches out to academicians, entrepreneurs, businesses, media and political leaders and university students, and including the engaged diaspora community.

IAC focuses on the foundational efforts of strengthening a competitive and vibrant market economy based on the rule of law, an independent judiciary, and protection of property rights, promoting greater transparency and strengthened security.

Programs & Initiatives 

SUMMER TO KERALA

The Indo-American Center, in association with its partners, provides students with a unique opportunity to visit and study in Kerala. The program is designed for students to experience fun and learning alike. Over the course of the program, students are encouraged to participate in informational classes/seminars, visit historical and cultural sites, and be guided on higher education and career development. Summer programs are limited to a minimum of 12 and maximum of 17 students. Applicants are encouraged to send their complete applications no later than 8 weeks prior to the start date of the program. After reviewing all applications and upon the student’s acceptance, applicants are required to make an immediate, non-refundable deposit of $300. Final payments must be processed 3 weeks prior to the beginning of the program in full. Any cancellations must be attributed to and verified by serious medical conditions. SEMESTER IN INDIA

The Indo-American Center, in association with its partners, is proud to present a rare opportunity for University students in the United States to live and study in India for a semester. IAC believes, in today’s global society, it is imperative that learning be cross-cultural and experiential. With the same goals in mind, we offer Semester in India programs through partnership and arrangements with universities in the United States. Students can choose from a variety of regional and contemporary courses. Some courses might be restricted to Fall (August – December) or Spring (January – May) semesters. We offer one of the most competitively priced study abroad programs, and being a non-profit organization, students can also receive financial aids, grants, and scholarships.
